HISTORY TO6411 was used to traffic 36 migrants from North Africa, including three children and a pregnant woman, when it and its human cargo were rescued off the coast of Lampedusa in March 2012.
TECHNICAL TO6411 is a typical North African fishing boat of traditional Mediterranean design and wooden construction. She is probably of Libyan origin although many similar boats operate off the coasts of Morroco and Tunisia. She has a seaworthy double ended hull made of pine and hardwood and is powered by a Bukh 3-cylinder tractor engine
